Catching up with the Newbie Author Challenge!

Day 1
Day 1

I finished writing my first novel, While Sleeping, in 2019. It is a thriller that includes art it its many forms, female friendship and empowerment, a hidden room with an unknown occupant, horrendous crimes of rape and sex trafficking, and a serial killer. While not a police procedural, the law enforcement officers engaged with the ongoing serial killer investigation make up an integral part of the story.

While that novel is going through editing, I am busy working on my second one, a fantasy horror. It is untitled of yet, but I am loosely calling it “The Witch.” I know what you’re thinking, “OOOO, how inspired.”

Day 4

Several years ago, I started thinking about a powerful sorceress, commonly thought of as evil, who continues living through the ages. Over time, she would pull other powerful women to her, teaching them of her magic, and giving them a chance to kill her. If successful, they would win her power and possibly gain immortality. While this book is not THAT book, one of the characters is inspired by this previous train of thought.

An American expat living in Sweden. I teach middle school science, have four amazing children, the best partner anyone could ask for, and not enough dogs. The dog we do have at the moment, a beautiful mutt of pointer, husky, and border collie, is one of the sweetest creatures to grace this planet. I am busy trying to get better at teaching and writing.
